BioThey say to stop and smell the roses
along the Road of Life;
But when I bend, I prick my hand,
for all I find are thorns.
Blood bright red spills from my finger,
my insides coming out.
It is as though my body cries for me,
for I cannot cry for it.
All I do is watch the blood
form a puddle on the ground;
and I wonder if the earth feels my pain
because I do not;
There is no pain to be felt.
The wound stops bleeding, but not because it dries.
I am empty;
there is nothing left inside.
